Strategy & Advising
Most funders, campaigns, and organizations share three common characteristics:
Limited resources
Ambitious goals
A theory of how to use resources to achieve goals
At Camden Strategy, we believe that the theory is the most important--but most neglected--component of a successful strategy. The theory is the foundation for every decision, from the mundane details to the biggest calls, on how an organization gets from point A to point B.
We work with clients to develop a strategy based on a thorough evaluation of their current resources, clearly defined and realistically identified goals, and an explicit, detailed, logical articulation of a theory of change.
Analytics
The best decisions are made with the most accurate information. Camden Strategy applies our extensive experience with impactful data analysis to arrive at the most objective possible understanding of a strategic opportunity.
Good data starts with clear definitions. We work with clients to develop a precise understanding of the inputs that allow you to track progress, the outcomes that determine success, and the timelines for making decisions. If the data you need doesn't exist, we develop research plans that will generate the relevant information.
In many cases advanced predictive modeling or randomized controlled experiments are the best way to get the insight you need. But there are just as many situations where it's more valuable to focus on the basics of good data collection than on complex algorithms. We believe in making sure the perfect isn't the enemy of the marginal improvement by using the right analytics tools for your specific strategic context.
Civic Engagement
Camden Strategy supports people and organizations that believe in creating a more just, equitable, and progressive society.
People are at the heart of our work. We want to identify the biggest obstacles to fuller and healthier lives, figure out the most efficient ways to overcome those obstacles, and work hard implementing solutions.
We have experience doing people-centered, data-driven work at all levels of civic engagement, including voter registration, persuasion, turnout, and activism.
